About

Alex Long, PhD is Assistant Professor of Exercise Science in the College of Health Professions at Sacred Heart University.  He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS).  

His research focuses on advanced and alternative resistance training methods to enhance muscular strength and power and athletic performance and innovation of athlete training and monitoring practices.

Dr. Long has a PhD in in sport physiology from East Tennessee State University.
